    UDMS complies with the E.U.-U.S. and the SWISS-U.S. Privacy Shield Program regarding the collection, retention and destruction of personal medical information in the form of medical files including paper and film media like X-Ray film, microfilm and microfiche transferred from the European Economic Area and Switzerland to the United States. UDMS has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles.         All personal medical information received by UDMS is collected or received as physical paper files and film and is retained solely for the purpose of destruction per our clients' requests. No personal information is cataloged or maintained on lists or digitally. After destruction no personal information is retained nor is any transferred to third parties. All personal information will be processed pursuant to Privacy Shield Principles. UDMS is also AAA NAID certified for secure destruction and self-certified under EU - US And Swiss - US privacy shield.  UDMS is independently audited by The National Association for Information Destruction.

 Furthermore UDMS has committed to refer unresolved Policy shield complaints to the American Arbitration Association – International Centre for Dispute Resolution (AAA-ICDR) as an alternate dispute resolution provider located in the U.S. If you do not receive timely acknowledgement of your complaint from us, or we have not resolved your complaint to your satisfaction,  please contact AAA-ICDR at www.adr.org for more information or to file a complaint. The services of AAA-ICDR are provided at no cost to you.


Under certain conditions, more fully described in the Privacy Shield website, you may be entitled to invoke binding arbitration when other dispute resolution procedures have been exhausted.


With respect to Personal Information received or transferred pursuant to the Privacy Shield program, UDMS is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U. S. Federal Trade Commission.


Required Disclosure

UDMS may disclose personal data in special cases to conform to legal requirements or to respond to lawful requests by public authorities including meeting national security or law enforcement requirements or to protect and defend our rights or property.
